Kikagaku Moyo
Kikagaku Moyo
Kikagaku Moyo started in the summer of 2012 when Go Kurosawa and Tomo Katsurada were forced to play on the street due to complaints from the neighbors in their Tokyo apartment complex. They met bassist Kotsu Guy while he was recording vending machines for his noise project and guitarist Daoud Popal through at the university Tomo was attending. Go's brother Ryu had been studying Sitar in Kolkata, India. What started as a free music collective quickly evolved into a tight group of multi-instrumentalists.

Extensive touring in Australia, the U.S, U.K. and Europe has earned the band a fierce live reputation and a dedicated fan base around the world. In three years the band has managed to release four LPs and split singles with Moon Duo and Kinski. This October, Kikagaku Moyo return to North America in support of their fourth LP "House in the Tall Grass."

"[House in the Tall Grass] showcases the bands perfect balance between soft and loud, demonstrating a tranquil and whimsical sound with moments of welcomed chaos" - Clunk Mag

"A joy from start to finish and a surefire contender for album of the year". - Soundblab
Al Lover
In short, Al Lover is a producer from San Francisco, but there's more layers to his wall of sound then meets the ear. Over the last few years he has gained much notoriety for his melding of contemporary and past garage and psychedelic rock into harsh yet spacey abrasive beats. Influenced as much by The 13th Floor Elevators as DJ Shadow, Al Combines crunchy drums, shaky percussion, chopped samples and layers of textured effects to create an unexplored path for psychedelic music, offering an earthy and loose approach that sounds more like you're listening to a DMT fueled psych band than a beat made on an MPC.
